How do I Collect Footprint? Take a digital photograph of a birth certificate. Or you may simply use any ink pad and plain white paper. Black ink works best. Practice taking prints on any blank white sheet of paper. Lightly touch the inked surface twice and then press downward on the paper. Use more of a tapping motion than a rolling one. Take a high resolution digital photo of the best print. Fill the frame without cutting off any of the print. Use good lighting and sharp focus for best results. If the print looks blurry, rephotograph.
